Viralnomics is Becoming a Viral Marketing Blog

Viral marketing blogHey there,

Last week I announced that, after a lot of frustration, I was starting the book over anew. I hated the writing and didn’t think I put my point across well. As mentioned, this website is largely a passion project.

The last 2 years have changed my life. I went from being an overworked personal trainer without any real direction to an internet entrepreneur specializing in viral marketing. None of this was planned. I became obsessed with online networking, social media, blogging, and developing a web presence.

What struck me most was how many people were following blindly systems that no longer work. I decided to research psychology and behavioral economics hours a day and develop my own systems. This worked for me, and the book I was writing was where I wanted to share them.

This past two weeks I have done a lot of reflecting. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the beach outside my back door with a notebook and my favorite pen and write. I won’t ever publish the writing; it’s a private notebook, but I write whatever comes to my mind. The sentences are jumbled and I write whatever comes to mind.

Over and over again I wrote the words, “you gotta know when you hold em’, no when to fold em’, when the dealings done.” I have taken a full 2 weeks to mentally disengage from this project in the hopes I would come back with a renewed energy. In the end I couldn’t bring myself to start on reorganizing the chapters. After some thought I’ve decided that the time isn’t right for another full-fledged book.

Viralnomics is becoming a viral marketing blog

In the coming week(s) this website is going to undergo a facelift. Most of the tabs are going to be taken away and it’s going to be a minimalist blog; it will only highlight what you need to know and every post will be actionable. Instead of the content published as chapters, they will be individual blogposts meaning:

  1. Problem
  2. Solution

As always, I’ll do my best to keep it fun and entertaining.

As much as I do view this as a small defeat, the decision to turn this site into a blog did not come lightly. It was a decision that I contemplated for a long time and truly think it’s for the best.

Viralnomics is my breed of social media. It helped take me from relative obscurity to a beachfront home in Hawaii working remotely in under two years. I want to share what I learned with you because, by following the information I’ll write here, you can create financial freedom in your life as well — no matter your industry.

As always, thanks for joining me here.
